Our 3 Days Malacca Tour
The historic state of Malacca is about 150km , 2 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. This 3 days 2 nights journey shared by the local Malaysian is for you to consider.

Translated from original pos by @Asyrafiah's Journey - 3 hari 2 malam di melaka

Last week, Mr. Fikri and Mrs. Asyrafiah extended their legs to Malacca (known as Melaka by Malaysian), or to put it more accurately, we took a short vacation there in conjunction with the actual holiday. If it wasn't for the holiday, we wouldn't have made it to Malacca. This trip became a memorable Malacca Tour, and we stayed there much longer, enjoying every aspect of this beautiful Malacca Tour.

School has plenty of holidays, but Asy's husband is not a teacher. So, in conjunction with this rather long holiday, we planned to go on a trip to Malacca while celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We thought it was the perfect opportunity for a Malacca Tour experience. Thanks God, it's been a year already, and we couldn't wait to share our Malacca Tour with others.

Why Choose Malacca?
Exploring Our Malacca Tour: A Journey Through History

During our Malacca Tour, we discovered the unique blend of cultures that make this city special, enhancing our experience significantly.

Happen that we are both history lovers. We love history. Plus, the holidays aren't that long. Otherwise, we might have already reached Mecca. Eh. Eh. So, here are a few sincere notes from Asy about the places we visited while we were on our Malacca Tour, which offered rich historical insights.

Day One: Check In Hotel – Pantai Klebang – River Cruise

Prima Hotel, Melaka

We left home around 9 am. Stopped for lunch (breakfast + lunch) at RnR Dengkil. Then arrived at the hotel around 1.05 pm. At 1.55 pm we checked in at the hotel. After resting and performing the communal prayer, around 5.00 pm we moved to Pantai Klebang. Because of the powerful viral on the stunning pictures taken at Pantai Klebang, attracted us to see with our own eyes, the fun there. (I will share the Prima Hotel Review later!)

Klebang Beach

Finding parking at Pantai Klebang was really hard. But luckily for us, we saw many people parking on the side of the road, so we also joined the queue and we had to walk (less than 1 km) to arrive at Pantai Klebang.

Food trucks filled the roadside on the left and right, and there were eateries selling various types of food. We bought snacks to eat while walking and enjoying the beauty of the evening at Klebang Beach. But when we arrived, the tide was low.

We also didn't miss the opportunity to taste the super-viral right now, Pantai Klebang Coconut Shake. But it doesn't seem to be like original. But, we just enjoy it. In addition, we also take soft and plentiful lekor crackers. The sauce is made from rojak sauce. It's really sweet! Price 1 container, RM 5.00 Eat the squid rojak too! It's delicious! The price is RM 6.00

Actually, we were really excited to see Bustel that was hyped on social media. Unfortunately, when we got there, one of the traders told us that Bustel had gone bankrupt. It was true, it had closed. So all that was left were the buses that were used as food stalls and public toilets.

River Cruise

After struggling to solve the Waze problem, we arrived in Malacca City Center to enjoy the night view of the Malacca River. The ticket price for an adult if you take the cruise from Monday to Thursday is RM 10.60. For Friday to Sunday (including Public Holidays), the ticket price for an adult is RM 15.90. The price for senior citizens and children is the same, regardless of whether it is a holiday or not, RM 5.30.

Oh yes. You also will get durian-flavored corn flakes goodies! We get two because we bought tickets for two people. While enjoying the night panorama along Malacca River during our Malacca Tour, we chatted and enjoyed durian-flavored corn flakes. Delicious!

Our Malacca Tour allowed us to appreciate the stunning historical architecture along the river, making it a highlight of our trip.

Many people commented on Facebook that the water in Malacca River stinks. I don't know, but yesterday when I was on the cruise, I didn't even notice the smell. Probably because I was focused on seeing the scenery around me.

Our journey continued with the Ocean Museum, which we included in our Malacca Tour itinerary.

Just got off the River Cruise, we had a dinner of 25 skewers of satay (bye-bye diet) and went home to rest.

Day Two: Ocean Museum - St Paul's Hill - A Famosa - Malay Sultanate Museum - Grilled Fish Alai

After swallowing Vitamin C and B-Complex, we chose to conquer the city of Malacca by riding a trishaw (local call it beca). The cool morning breeze from the rain before, was really soothing. At 10 am, the road was still deserted. Perhaps, many were still sleeping and dreaming along with the song of the rain.

Since this was our first time riding a trishaw, we enjoyed it very much !.... with the beautiful morning panorama while laughing at each other, because it felt quite funny on the road without a roof and car walls. Riding a motorbike is another story. Riding a motorbike and riding a trishaw are totally different!

Ocean Museum

The second day we also had brunch (breakfast + lunch) at the Hajah Ruhana Asam Pedas Kedai. The taste, hmmm... i gave them average. Not that good. Just average, only 2 stars can be given.

Then, we explored the Ocean Museum. The ticket price for an adult is only RM 5.00. We were able to observe every corner of the Ocean Museum. How the situation of people in the past traded. How big were the Portuguese ships. Read the history of the arrival of the colonizers to Malaya. Also, we could see the prisoner room in the ship! Creepy!

Don't miss the chance to explore the vibrant markets and local delicacies during your Malacca Tour.

This Ocean Museum was built with a height of 110 feet and a width of 80, which is the reduced size of the original Portuguese ship - Flor De La Mar. So, it would be a shame if you come for a Malacca Tour but don't stop by its museums because we know, Malacca is a city rich in historical heritage.

The picturesque sights we saw during our Malacca Tour truly captured the essence of this historical city.

After checking out the Ocean Museum, we stopped for a moment at a fruit shop to buy snacks and mineral water. We want to climb Stadhyus hill later. Why don't you come and join us?

St Paul's Hill

A Famosa is a must-visit during a Malacca Tour, showcasing the remnants of colonial architecture.

While climbing St Paul's hill, we actually passed a historic tree, namely the Melaka Tree. The tree that inspired the naming of this historic city. Arriving at the top of this hill, we entered and inspected the former church from the time of portuguese colonize Malacca, the contents of which were almost empty. Only a tombstone taller and wider than us remained as history.

Finally, the culinary delights in Malacca are an essential part of your Malacca Tour experience.

Stadthuys Building is another landmark to see during your Malacca Tour, reflecting the Dutch influence in this vibrant city.

The Malacca Malay Sultanate Museum provides insights into the rich history of the Malay Sultanate, making it an enriching stop on any Malacca Tour.

A Famosa

A landmark synonymous with Malacca. A historical relic, a remnant of gate of the portuguese fort , that is increasingly lost to time. The portuguese colonize Malacca taken from Malacca Sultan from 1511 to 1641. After 1641 the Dutch is taking over Malacca from the portuguese. Oh yes! Entry to A Famosa is free!

Malacca Malay Sultanate Museum (The Malacca Sultan before the colonization by portuguese)

The ticket fees is RM 3.00 for an adult. The museum is long. There is a TV room that displays the story of Hang Tuah played by the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee. There is a room with statues that reflect several events such as the situation in the balairong, the fight between Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat.

We also read, Kanun Melaka (Canon of Malacca). What is the punishment for thieves. How to know if he is guilty or not. We didn't stay here long because we were tired and hungry. We ate KFC at Dataran Pahlawan before returning to the hotel by taking a rickshaw.

Our Malacca Tour ended with a delightful meal that encapsulated the flavors of this region.

The rickshaw experience is a sweet experience to remember. Traveling through the crowded city of Melaka with a rickshaw that is free to make the wrong way. Infiltrating the streets that house shops that maintain the characteristics of old-fashioned shops. It's unique and fun.

Alai Grilled Fish

One of our relative remind us, “Fia, don’t forget to stop by and eat at Alai Grilled Fish. Shop number two, dark blue tablecloth. Kak Ayu forgot the name of the shop.”

After we performed the communal prayer, we continued to look for Alai Grilled Fish guided by Waze. Thanks God, we arrived safely. We also managed to find parking, because we arrived early, around 6.30 pm. We ordered rice, juice, 3-taste Siakap fish (only half fish, since we were eating for two), Fried Squid and Butter Prawn. Total price for 2 is RM 80.

After dinner.... Already full, we went home. My husband asked, do you want to go for a walk to Jonker Walk? Asy just shook her head because her body felt tired and chose to continue walking tomorrow.

Back to the hotel and swallowed Herb Lax to cleanse the intestines. Not forgetting Omega Guard and Ostematrix to help the muscles and legs recover to continue the journey tomorrow.

Day Three: Melaka – Putrajaya – Port Klang

A desire in my heart, I wanted to taste the Charcoal Roti Canai that went viral on Facebook. We checked out early and headed straight to the shop. When we arrived, oh my God! Parking was difficult! The crowds! It made Asy uncomfortable to sit.

“Is the roti canai here so delicious? Is it crowded because it’s viral?”

We went around the shop five times to find a seat. Once we got a seat, we waited for the waiter to take our order. It was a bit slow because there were so many people. When we wanted to order the charcoal-grilled roti canai, it was sold out!

Oh my! Disappointed!

At last we go for Nasi Lemak. Uniquely, this nasi lemak came with soft and delicious boiled kale. So, this was all we ate, to cure our disappointment. After eating, we went straight to Putrajaya to attend Asy’s friend’s wedding. We also got to have a mini reunion with the friends who were present.

Then, stroll around IOI City Mall Putrajaya and go home because the next day, everyone has to work.

Thank you Malacca for the beautiful memories from our Malacca Tour that we will cherish forever.

Thank you Allah for all the blessings.

Thank you fans for faithfully reading until the end of the post.
